LMM Group Copper Mould Tube Factory is a specialized enterprise producing various continuous casting machine moulds for steelmaking. Its products are exported to numerous countries and regions across Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Africa, with a manufacturing subsidiary in India. Building on this foundation, the company has initiated a series of technological improvement projects to support green development and high-quality growth, while expanding into the markets for high-precision, large-size, and extra-long moulds, thus adding new momentum for progress.

In recent years, LMM Group has utilized its proprietary large copper tube integral extrusion process to produce a range of large-size mould copper tubes. Notably, the 1600mm diameter mould copper tube is the largest in the world to date, continuously setting new world records and achieving significant technological advancements in the industry. Upon entering the company’s production workshop, one is greeted by a brand-new 8000-ton hydraulic press, currently the largest of its kind globally. This equipment, now successfully operational, is primarily used for the integral extrusion of large-size mould copper tubes. The technology was independently developed by the company, positioning it far ahead of domestic competitors.

Using the integral extrusion method significantly enhances the density and other properties of the product. With over 20 years of technical accumulation, we have mastered this mature process and are now fully applying it during equipment upgrades to better serve continuous casting in steelmaking.

The large round billet mould copper expansion project successfully commenced in September 2023 and will continue until the end of 2024. The project utilizes the company’s existing plant and involves the procurement of large four-column hydraulic presses, gantry machining centers, five-axis machining centers, and specialized high-precision large tooling molds. These will be integrated with existing equipment for the deep processing of copper rods. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 1,000 high-precision, large-size moulds.
